Defective Cintiq Companions?

This is getting to be unbearably frustrating. I have my fourth, yes FOURTH, Cintiq Companion on it’s way to me. I have had 3 of them so far, and all 3 have crapped out due to defects (2 of which had this same “plugged in, not charging” crap that so many users are running into).

I would really love for my $2000 tablet to actually last me longer than 5 months without breaking. Oh and my warranty runs out in October, so if it breaks after that I am just shit out of luck and have to pay for repairs on a faulty unit if this garbage happens again.

I am strongly considering selling the unopened, brand new fourth unit after it arrives and looking elsewhere for a portable art computer. >.>

Have any other Companion owners run into these problems? I've seen quite a few google results with people making similar complaints. Does ANYONE out there have a unit that has lasted them without issue?
